Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior analytics leader to own the data and insights function across PSA Marketplace, including PSA Exchange, Vault, and eBay Consignment. You will define the analytics stack, monitor key metrics, and partner with GMs, product, and marketing to drive data-driven decisions.

You will mentor a lean team, deliver recurring insights and ad hoc analyses, and communicate findings to senior leadership, while maintaining a unified view of marketplace performance.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience driving data-based insights, ideally in Marketplaces, FinTech, or eCommerce.
• Experience writing SQL queries and guiding a lean analytics team.
• Strong business acumen with structured recommendations from analyses.
• Ability to communicate across leaders, analysts, engineers, and technical counterparts.
• Experience with large datasets and data abstractions for reporting/analysis.
• Experience delivering BI deliverables in Tableau, Mode, or Lightdash.
• Dbt experience is a plus; Collectibles/alternative assets familiarity is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own the data and insights function across PSA Marketplace, including PSA Exchange, Vault, and eBay Consignment businesses.
• Define and own the Marketplace analytics stack and monitor key business metrics.
• Partner with GMs and BD lead to test ideas, size opportunities, and identify data gaps.
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Marketing for a consistent data view.
• Partner with Product on feature usage, funnel efficiency, and cohort performance insights.
• Partner with Marketing on acquisition, attribution, segmentation, and marketplace marketing investments.
• Collaborate with Central Data, Engineering, and Product on data models and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Fraud and GMs on risk signals; deliver recurring and ad hoc insights.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a lean team while executing hands-on analytics.
• Report to the President, Marketplace.

Job description

• Own the data and insights function across PSA Marketplace, including PSA Exchange, Vault, and eBay Consignment businesses
• Define and own the Marketplace analytics stack and monitor key business metrics including sellers, buyers, vaulters, GMV, AUM, take rate, LTV, cohort analysis, liquidity, and conversion funnels
• Partner with GMs and the BD lead to pressure-test ideas, size opportunities, validate assumptions, and identify data gaps
• Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to maintain a consistent view of Marketplace data
• Partner with Product on feature usage, funnel efficiency, and user cohort performance insights
• Partner with Marketing on acquisition, attribution, segmentation, and Marketplace-specific marketing investments and GTM motions
• Partner with Central Data, Engineering, and Product on data models and infrastructure requirements
• Coordinate with Fraud and GMs on transaction, account behavior, and listing-level risk signals
• Deliver recurring insights and ad hoc analysis to GMs and support Board and executive reporting
• Lead, mentor, and manage a lean team while personally executing hands‑on analytics
• Report to the President, Marketplace

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience working with data to drive analyses and business insights, ideally in Marketplaces, FinTech, or eCommerce industries
• Experience writing SQL queries
• Experience guiding, mentoring, and managing a lean team of analysts
• Strong business acumen and ability to carry forward analyses, test hypotheses, and present structured recommendations
• Ability to communicate across business leaders, analysts, engineers, and technical counterparts
• Experience working with large datasets using SQL
• Experience building data abstractions to support reporting and analysis
• Experience creating shareable deliverables in BI tools such as Tableau, Mode, or Lightdash
• Experience building data pipelines with dbt is a plus
• Collectibles or alternative-asset market familiarity is a plus, not required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
