Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to drive our growth in central and Northern Virginia and the Washington DC area. You will build relationships with high-level clients and community partners while aligning with the Mid-Atlantic team, account managers, and operations leaders.

The role requires extensive experience in business development, a solid understanding of CM/GC/AE markets, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Business Development related experience in business development, operations or management.
  • Must have previous working knowledge of the CM/GC or AE business market.
  • Proven experience working on/managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
  • Currently, the company is not considering applicants who require employment sponsorship.

  • Assist in the business development efforts and support a sales culture for Skanska in central and Northern VA market as well as the Washington DC area.

The Business Development Director will assist in the business development efforts and support a sales culture for Skanska in central and Northern VA market as well as the Washington DC area. This position will be tasked with supporting the business development plan to reach and establish relationships with high level clients, stakeholders and community partners in the markets we serve. As an extension of the local teams, this position will collaborate and work closely with the Mid-Atlantic business development team, account managers, operations leaders, preconstruction, and senior management.

Business Development Director Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years Business Development related experience in business development, operations or management experience;
  • Must have previous working knowledge of the CM/GC or AE business market.
