Job summary

Sentral in San Diego, CA is hiring a Director of Building Services to lead a people-first maintenance team. You will oversee daily operations, training, and safety, ensuring reliable building performance and exceptional resident experiences. This in-person role requires strong leadership and hands-on problem solving.

You will manage maintenance priorities, coordinate with the General Manager, and drive preventative maintenance to protect assets and safety across Sentral communities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Manager/Director or similar leadership role.
• Solid knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Uphold standards, policies and customer service excellence.
• Lead and manage Building Services team and schedules.
• Coordinate with General Manager on maintenance projects.
• Inspect sites and identify maintenance needs.
• Oversee repairs and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain inventory and equipment; ensure safe storage.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and conduct inspections.
