Job summary

ROCKFORD PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT #205 is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to oversee the district's marketing and communications strategies in alignment with the board's strategic plan. You will lead a team including a Communications Coordinator and other specialists to promote the district's image and brand across channels.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Marketing or related field with 3–5 years in marketing/long-range planning and prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in marketing and long-range planning.
• Experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing and communication strategies in alignment with the district's vision and strategic plan.
• Lead the communications team in creating marketing materials that promote the district's image and brand standards.
• Direct and implement the district's advertising and promotional activities.
• Build brand awareness and positioning within the community.
• Oversee the management of the district website and internal/external pages.
• Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
• Participate in community events to stay current on issues affecting the district.
