About The Role

Beloved by owners and prospects alike, Sactionals have transformed the furniture category.

As a Brand Director at Lovesac, you will be responsible for developing our brand strategy and brand development that will drive profitable growth in both our core business and new product innovation. You will partner with teams cross-functionally to develop category and portfolio strategy, positioning, and go-to-market plans in line with our brand vision, leveraging customer insights, market trends, and data to drive the business forward.

This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT. Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.

What You’ll Do
  1. Drive brand vision and strategy throughout the organization through strong team and cross-functional leadership skills and the embodiment of our company’s core values.
  2. Develop brand, category and portfolio strategy including positioning, architecture, USPs, and jobs-to-be-done to deliver against short-, medium- and long-term business strategy
  3. Lead the development of annual brand planning and business objectives, informed by robust insights data and in-depth business and competitive analyses.
  4. Develop communication strategy and calendar and support cross-functional teams in driving key brand communications across e-commerce, retail touchpoints, and paid advertising.
  5. Build and deliver the Innovation pipeline for Sactionals from ideation through business case development through launch, inclusive of tailored customer acquisition engine development in partnership with brand activation through to JTBD brief
  6. Own long-term brand health and goal attainment through positioning, messaging, product strategy and roadmap development, and on-time product launches that ensure in-market product integrity.
  7. Collaborate with Ecommerce and Showroom teams to ensure comprehensive and holistic understanding of the customer with appropriate prioritization of focus to maximize our ability to build value through the entire customer experience.
  8. Continuously evaluate base business performance to inform short and long-term business strategies and plans to achieve planned goals.
  9. Collaborate with consumer insights team to develop research plans that drive a deep understanding of our customer journey and purchase drivers and identify whitespace opportunities in our innovation roadmap.
  10. Partner with key cross functional teams, including Commercialization, Consumer Insights, Product Development and Production & Sourcing, to drive new product innovations and initiatives through Lovesac's stage gate processes.
  11. Be a student of pop culture, staying close to current and future trends, to support StealthTech, Sactionals, and Lovesac masterbrand relevance and excitement among our target consumers.
  12. Meet or exceed all company goals and brand key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on both financial and brand health metrics. Perform any other reasonable duties for this role as requested by management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of related Brand Marketing work experience, ideally within a CPG organization
  • Superior strategic thinking and planning
  • Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation and creative solutions; strong ability to inspire and build a mindset and culture of innovation within your team and beyond
  • Must have proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations

  • Must be able to travel using various forms of transportation, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, for meetings and conferences held either at our offices or offsite (i.e. quarterly team connection weeks, companywide meetings, vendor visits).
  • Must comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the Lovesac Employee Handbook and work collaboratively with fellow employees, treating all clients, both internal and external with dignity and respect at all times.
