Job summary

Jade Biosciences is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead licensing, partnerships, and strategic collaborations across biotech and life sciences. The role reports to the CFO and will drive opportunities from evaluation through execution.

You will build financial models, conduct diligence, negotiate term sheets, and present recommendations to senior leadership and the Board, aligning R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in biotech/life sciences BD.
• Strong focus on technology licensing, research collaborations, and strategic transactions.
• MBA, MD or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development and co-commercialization deals.
• Coordinate cross-functional diligence across R&D, clinical, regulatory, legal, IP, and finance.
• Develop business cases, valuation frameworks, and transaction rationale.
• Negotiate term sheets, LOIs, NDAs, and definitive agreements with leadership.
• Support presentations to senior management and the Board.
• Build relationships with biotech peers, pharma, and academic institutions.
