Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Director of BI for EMPAVELI to drive market insights from sales analytics and primary research, shaping US strategy for PNH.

The role partners with US commercial and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and inform brand decisions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in biotech analytics, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and experience with rare diseases, claims/EMR data, and qualitative/quantitative market research.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an insights and analytics function within a biotech or biopharma organization.
• Hands-on analytics and modeling skills; ability to design studies and generate insights.

Responsibilities

• Own brand performance analytics and reporting (national and subnational).
• Design and execute strategic primary market research to track brand performance and address business questions.
• Lead BI for strategic brand initiatives (brand/tactical planning) with market outlooks and SWOT analyses.
• Develop expert knowledge across the therapeutic area, including competitive landscape and market dynamics.
• Partner with Forecasting to understand and validate brand forecast assumptions.
• Scope key business questions, generate hypotheses, and deliver foresight-driven insights.
• Manage the annual EMPAVELI in PNH insights budget.
