Director Biostatistics HEOR & Medical Affairs

We have a current opportunity for a Director of Biostatistics HEOR (Health Economics and Outcomes Research) on a permanent basis. The position can be based in Boston, MA or be remote. To learn more about this role, please apply.

The Director of Biostatistics HEOR will lead a biostatistics team in designing, analyzing, and supporting health economics and outcomes research studies, as well as Medical Affairs for oncology products. This role involves strategic planning, methodological development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support evidence generation and decision-making. The incumbent will ensure the scientific integrity and quality of analyses and contribute to developing HEOR strategies that demonstrate healthcare value.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor biostatisticians, oversee analysis planning and reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide statistical leadership for various studies.
• Strategic Planning: Develop biostatistical strategies supporting HEOR objectives, collaborate with teams, and address methodological challenges.
• Study Design and Analysis: Design statistical approaches, perform analyses (survival, regression, cost-effectiveness), and communicate findings.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams, present findings at conferences, and prepare manuscripts and reports.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure analysis accuracy, maintain regulatory compliance, and implement quality controls.

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or Master’s in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field.
• Experience: At least 10 years in biostatistics, oncology expertise, leadership in medical affairs, with industry experience preferred.
• Skills: Expertise in SAS, R, STATA; strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
