Job summary

The successful candidate will direct day-to-day operations, manage pricing and budgeting, develop SOPs, and collaborate with medical leadership to align strategy with institutional goals, all within a regulated academic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years in biobanking or regulated lab operations with leadership experience.
• Strong financial management including budgeting, pricing, and cost recovery.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with biospecimen workflows and CAP/accreditation environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the CBRD biospecimen facility.
• Supervise and develop senior staff within CBRD and ensure alignment of priorities.
• Lead project intake, feasibility review, and resource planning for new studies.
• Develop and manage pricing models, utilization tracking, and leadership reports.
• Partner with the medical director on strategy and institutional alignment.
• Ensure SOPs, process controls, and quality measures are followed and monitored.
• Oversee BRC review for external transfers of human biospecimens.
• Maintain the Policy on Human Biospecimen Research and reflect regulatory updates.
• Own LabVantage LIMS and oversee inventory workflow and oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
