Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Engineering Technical Expert for Sterile Fill to provide enterprise-level leadership across biologics sterile filling and related programs. You will shape engineering strategies, govern standards, and coordinate with Quality, Validation, and Operations to ensure readiness and reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; advanced degree preferred where relevant.
• Demonstrated ability to operate across global functions, strategic investment teams, manufacturing sites, project teams, suppliers and partners.
• Strong communication, risk management, technical judgment and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering leadership for sterile fill engineering and related capital programs.
• Drive governance, standards, and design principles across regions and sites.
• Lead technical decisions on biologics sterile fill, Annex 1 compliance and contamination control strategies.
• Coordinate input from site SMEs, external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues with escalation when needed.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices.
