Job summary

University of Nevada - Las Vegas invites applications for Director, Benefits & HCM Support (Flexible Work Schedule). Reporting to the AVP, Human Resources, this role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the university’s Benefits, Leave Administration, ADA accommodation process, and Temporary Employment and HCM Support functions.

The Director ensures effective delivery of programs and services that support the employee lifecycle while maintaining compliance with applicable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; eight years HR experience with five in benefits/leave/HR operations and three in supervision.
• In lieu of a bachelor's, equivalent combinations with associate degree or more years of relevant experience accepted.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Benefits, Leave Administration, ADA accommodations, and temporary employment.
• Establish standards, monitor service levels, and lead process improvements across HCM support.
• Partner with campus leadership, NSHE, and external vendors to align priorities and manage procurement/RFPs.
• Oversee Workday transaction triage and non-recruited appointments while ensuring compliance.
