Job summary

Real Chemistry is seeking a hands-on Director, Technical Product Operations to own the end-to-end management, operation, and security of flagship client-facing SaaS products hosted on AWS. This working leadership role requires driving architecture, deployment, security, and production support with a focus on uptime and client experience.

You will lead platform engineering, security posture, and AI-enabled feature integration while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Hands-on track record implementing and operating a product on AWS.
• 7+ years in IT / platform engineering with 3+ years operating production workloads in AWS.
• Experience leading external IT/DevOps or platform teams.
• Strong knowledge of SOC 2 and related controls.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of client-facing SaaS products hosted on AWS, from design to operation.
• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient AWS environments across dev, staging, prod.
• Lead HA/DR design, including backup, failover, and recovery procedures.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and promotion paths between environments.
• Own observability—metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting—and drive cost/performance improvements.
• Maintain SOC 2 compliance and audit readiness; enforce least-privilege IAM and encryption.
