Job summary

Slate is seeking a data-driven Director of Financial Services to build analytics for auto loan and ancillary products and to drive profitability through pricing optimization and attach rates. This role sits at the intersection of product, data science, operations, and partner management.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, and underwriting to deploy pricing changes, define KPIs, and lead model-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product management, analytics, or a quantitative role, ideally in automotive financial services.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending, credit risk, and financial product lifecycle.
• Strong statistical literacy and ability to think probabilistically.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
• Experience working with data science teams and interpreting model outputs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define goals for Slate’s auto loan and ancillary product offerings.
• Align business goals with regulatory requirements and partner capabilities.
• Deliver product and pricing changes with engineering, design, and operations.
• Prioritize backlog based on impact, effort, and strategic considerations.
• Own partner integrations, ensuring data exchange, underwriting logic, and compliance alignment.
• Build dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance and inform decisions.
