Job summary

VNS Health in New York is seeking a senior manager to lead non-clinical authorizations across TOTAL and MLTC plans. You will design policies, workflows and staffing to ensure accurate, timely authorizations and strong customer service.

Responsibilities include directing operations, budgeting, implementing new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve performance while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in health care/health insurance service delivery
• 3+ years in a managerial role
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid authorization processing rules
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement authorization processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Design and implement authorization policies and workflows to improve service quality while managing costs.
• Oversee non-clinical authorization and supply ordering teams and staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with program standards and timely reporting across departments.
• Lead staff training, budgeting and cross-functional collaboration for provider/member needs.
