St. Gertrude is looking for a Catholic school Athletic Director. The AD plays a pivotal role in shaping the athletic culture, ensuring that sports programs align with the institution's mission, and fostering student development through sports.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee athletic programs including scheduling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

Develop and enforce policies promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and Catholic values.

Manage logistics for games, practices, and postseason activities.

Recruit, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff; support professional development.

Collaborate with administration, faculty, and parents to enhance athletic culture.

Administer departmental budget; coordinate fundraising and ensure equipment/facility safety.

Monitor student-athlete eligibility and academic progress; uphold health and safety protocols.

Job Requirements

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in physical education, sports management, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree in educational administration is often preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in athletic administration, coaching, or teaching is highly valued.

Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification is often required; additional certifications in athletic training or safety protocols are advantageous.

Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential. Proficiency in budgeting and familiarity with athletic administration software are beneficial.
