Viridan Group is seeking a Director, Assistant Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for its solar and energy storage portfolio. The role aims to strengthen internal controls, scale operations, and support strategic initiatives in a growing clean energy company.

The successful candidate will oversee monthly closes, manage complex structures, and drive process improvements while mentoring a high-performing team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, tax equity, and complex entity structures.
• Experience in renewable energy, project finance, or other asset-intensive industries preferred.
• Proven leadership, analytical, communication, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting.
• Oversee complex accounting structures, including tax equity partnerships, joint ventures, and project financing.
• Direct technical accounting, audit processes, and internal control improvements.
• Develop scalable accounting processes, systems, and controls to support growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Partner cross-functionally to support financing, M&A, and strategic initiatives.
