Qualifications

- 8-10+ years in power generation focused on large-scale maintenance and upgrades.
- Strong networking and vendor management with power generation OEMs and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments under time constraints.
- Solutions-focused team player with collaboration across diverse teams.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience negotiating and closing commercial agreements (consulting, repair, service).
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of operating power generation assets.
- Develop major maintenance projects for the operating assets.
- Develop power generation modernization and upgrade projects.
- Create enterprise-level major maintenance models.
- Project Ownership, from RFQ through Award and Execution phases.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the operating assets.
- Provide Project Management oversight to multiple projects.
- Provide vendor management and oversight with OEMs and key suppliers.
- Evaluate business cases, estimate returns, budgets, cash flow.
- Prepare presentations related to projects and development status.
- Act as an agent of the company with counterparties and regulators.

We are seeking a Director, Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of operating power generation assets and lead the development and execution of major maintenance, modernization, and upgrade projects. This role combines technical, commercial, and project management responsibilities, requiring a leader who can drive complex initiatives from concept through execution while partnering closely with plant operations, vendors, OEMs, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep power generation experience, strong commercial acumen, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to optimizing asset performance and delivering long-term value across the portfolio.
- Manage a portfolio of operating power generation assets.
- Manage development of major maintenance projects for the operating assets.
- Manage development of power generation modernization and upgrade projects.
- Create enterprise level major maintenance models.
- Project Ownership, from creating the RFQ, through the Award and Execution phases.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the operating assets.
- Provide Project Management oversite to multiple projects.
- Provide vendor management and oversite, including strategic interface with power generation OEM’s and Key Suppliers.
- Evaluate business cases, estimate returns, budgets, cash flow.
- Prepare presentations related to projects and development status.
- Act as an agent of the company with counterparties, regulatory bodies, elected officials and others as necessary.
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 8-10+ years professional experience in the power generation industry preferably in the planning and execution of large-scale maintenance and upgrade projects
- Strong networking and vendor management skills, specifically with power generation OEM’s and other service and material providers
- Effectively manage multiple assignments under time constraints
- Solutions focused team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Work independently with direction on a regular basis
- Experience preparing, negotiating and closing commercial agreements including consulting, purchase, repair and service agreements, etc.
