Job summary

Astera Labs is seeking a Director of ASIC Technical Program Management to lead the TPM organization in the USA. You will mentor and develop TPMs across the United States and stay hands-on to drive programs when needed.

You will own cross-functional execution for advanced ASIC programs from planning to production release, ensuring transparency, governance, and fast decision-making with executive leadership and PLM teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of ASIC product development experience in a semiconductor environment.
• Strong understanding of ASIC development flows with hands-on RTL, DSP, or Physical.
• Proven ability to lead in a matrixed, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent program management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the US-based TPM team, owning the cross-functional execution framework for advanced ASIC programs from planning to production release.
• Drive milestone planning, dependency management, execution reviews, decision forums, and risk mitigation across engineering disciplines.
• Ensure program readiness at tapeout, power-on, and production release with clear status reporting standards.
• Provide real-time visibility into program health and priorities to executives and PLM teams.
• Partner with external partners and customers as a senior representative of the program.
