Job summary

John Wiley & Sons Inc. seeks a Director of Product for Applied Research Intelligence (ARI). This senior leader will voice the corporate R&D customer, shape ARI's outward product strategy, and lead partnerships and integration across the R&D tool ecosystem.

You will translate R&D workflows into product direction, drive early customer wins, and represent ARI to customers and at industry events. High autonomy and growth potential in a global organization.

Qualifications

• First-hand experience working within corporate R&D in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life-sciences organizations.
• Track record of generating insight from scientific literature and data across the R&D value chain.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in senior product, data-science, or scientific-innovation leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing GenAI and retrieval-based (RAG) solutions in a scientific context.
• Deep understanding of R&D scientists and their buyers with credibility at senior levels.
• Strong commercial instinct to shape deals, partnerships, and roadmap decisions.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a senior product leader and peer to commercial, partnership, and engineering leaders across ARI.
• Serve as a key external interface for the product with customers and partners.
• Shape product direction, partnership strategy, and commercial positioning for ARI.
• Carry autonomy with opportunity to build and lead an expanding product function.
