Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a Director for the APEX Accelerator at LaGuardia Community College. The role oversees program strategy, budget, and performance, working with DoW OSBP and external partners to deliver procurement assistance to minority-owned and women-owned small businesses.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 5+ years in government procurement, and proven leadership. In-person duties with potential for some remote work, and travel to national meetings are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Five+ years of government/procurement experience; supervisory or program management experience.
• Knowledge of FAR and government contracting requirements for small businesses.
• Experience leading and developing staff and managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, including public speaking and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Program Director and liaison to DoW OSBP; manage the cooperative agreement.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, strategic planning, and program execution.
• Oversee counseling, training, and technical assistance by the team.
• Manage budget, cost-share, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Travel as required, including out-of-state travel for national events.
