Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in New Brunswick, NJ, seeks a Director, AI Strategy & Transformation to lead enterprise AI initiatives spanning governance, data, and business teams.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to define strategic initiatives, identify AI adoption opportunities, and drive investment and execution. The role oversees workstreams, reports on progress, and aligns stakeholders across functions. On-site presence is required (3 days/week).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years in consulting, corporate strategy, enterprise transformation, Chief of Staff, or strategic planning (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with AI and generative AI trends/opportunities.
• Strong financial acumen; executive advisory and change-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Connect with AI/data initiatives across sector and function teams to identify enterprise value opportunities.
• Collaborate with Co-Chairs and senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate AI adoption and recommend enterprise investment and execution.
• Facilitate workstream sessions; prioritize deliverables and develop strategic plans.
• Manage the workstream portfolio (launch/close sprints; support sprint leads).
• Monitor industry trends and translate insights into strategies and improvements.
• Advise leadership on enterprise AI priorities, opportunities, risks, and operating models.
• Develop executive communications (business cases, narratives, decision frameworks).
• Drive alignment across business, technology, data, legal, and governance stakeholders.
• Create operational performance frameworks and assess performance improvements.
• Own governance processes for data quality index reporting.
• Track progress, manage risks/interdependencies, mitigate risks, share updates.
• Drive Steering Committee sessions and monthly/exec/board engagements.

• Facilitate workstream/sprint sessions; prioritize deliverables, develop strategic plans, and align initiative timelines.
• Manage the workstream portfolio (launch/close sprints; support sprint leads).
• Monitor industry trends and translate insights into strategies and operational improvements.
• Advise JJAIC/JJDMC leadership and executives on enterprise AI priorities, opportunities, risks, and operating models.
• Develop executive communications (business cases, narratives, decision frameworks).
• Drive alignment across business, technology, data, legal, and governance stakeholders.

• Own quarterly governance processes for data quality index collection/calculation/reporting.

Base Pay Range

$150,000–$258,750.
