Hayes Company Llc in Dallas, TX seeks a Director of AI Strategy and Governance to lead the enterprise AI strategy, governance framework, and Center of Excellence. You will oversee our AI portfolio, set standards, and drive value realization across warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics.

The role reports to the VP of Business Excellence, chairs the AI Steering Committee, and collaborates with Legal, HR, Finance, and IT to ensure compliant, scalable AI initiatives with measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, information technology, data analytics, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in technology strategy, AI, analytics, or operational excellence.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, including enterprise programs or cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated success developing business cases and governance frameworks with measurable results.
• Strong executive presentation and communication experience, with influence leadership.
• Strong financial analysis and business case development capability.
• Strong judgment regarding data privacy, responsible AI, and business risk.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains the enterprise AI strategy and multiyear roadmap aligned with growth, operations, and risk goals.
• Establishes an enterprise AI Center of Excellence with governance requirements and performance expectations.
• Creates an inventory of AI use cases, tools, models, vendors, and deployed solutions.
• Leads enterprise AI governance and chairs the enterprise AI Steering Committee.
• Develops policies governing acceptable AI use by employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Partners with Legal, HR, Finance, and IT to ensure AI use compliance with laws and policy.
• Prioritizes AI initiatives with IT and OAX to improve receiving, putaway, slotting, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Defines criteria for third-party AI vendors and production readiness with security and data-use standards.
• Manages AI education and adoption strategy with HR and Training.
