The Hartford is seeking a Director of Responsible AI to lead governance across the enterprise, partnering with data scientists, engineers, Legal, Compliance and Risk to ensure AI solutions are designed, deployed and monitored in a manner consistent with the company’s values and regulatory obligations.

You will drive governance frameworks and controls, review risk assessments and model evaluations, and communicate complex AI concepts to business and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience in governance of AI/ML and related quantitative disciplines.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts for business, risk, and executive stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations for AI systems and governance controls.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate governance reviews of AI and Generative AI use cases to identify, assess, and communicate AI risks.
• Review and interpret risk assessments, model evaluations, and monitoring results to assess solution readiness.
• Develop and enhance governance frameworks, standards, and procedures for scalable AI oversight.
• Serve as trusted advisor to stakeholders on Responsible AI development and governance expectations.
• Promote governance approaches balancing risk management with innovation and business value.
