Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Director of AI & Security Development to lead a cybersecurity function focused on Agentic AI development, security tooling, automation, analytics, and secure development practices. Reports to CIO and collaborates with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC.

Responsibilities include defining strategy, building AI security agents, scaling automation, enabling data-driven decisions, and governing DevSecOps.

Qualifications

10+ years in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related fields.
5+ years in leadership roles.
Experience building or scaling automation, AI/ML, or analytics capabilities.
Strong background in secure software development and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Familiarity with AI platforms, LLM-based systems, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

Define strategy, operating model, and services for AI & Security Development.
Lead development of AI-powered security agents for detection, triage, and response.
Build automation/orchestration across security technologies.
Enable security data integration, analytics, and reporting for decision-making.
Establish secure AI development practices and DevSecOps governance.
Partner with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC; build a high-performing team.
Translate technical capabilities into measurable business value and risk reduction.
