Job summary

Brown & Brown is seeking a Director of AI & Security Development to lead a strategic cybersecurity function focused on Agentic AI, security tooling, automation engineering, data analytics, and secure development practices. The role reports to the CIO and collaborates with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC.

The incumbent will build a high-performing team, translate technical capabilities into business value, and drive risk reduction through secure AI development and DevSecOps governance.

Qualifications

• Lead a cybersecurity capability strategy and operating model.
• Develop AI-powered security agents for detection, triage, investigation, and response.
• Scale automation and orchestration across enterprise security technologies.
• Enable security data integration, analytics, and reporting to support decision-making.
• Establish secure AI development practices and DevSecOps governance.
• Partner with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC; build a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a core cybersecurity capability by defining the strategy, operating model, and service offerings for AI & Security Development.
• Drive development of AI-powered security agents to support detection, triage, investigation, and response.
• Build and scale automation and orchestration capabilities across enterprise security technologies.
• Enable security data integration, analytics, and reporting to support operational and executive decision-making.
• Establish secure AI development practices and DevSecOps governance.
• Partner closely with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC. Build and lead a high-performing team.
• Translate technical capabilities into measurable business value and risk reduction.
