Job summary

Google LLC seeks a Senior Director, Enterprise Data Platforms & Governance to anchor the AI-ready data mission. You will lead a global team of ~170 technologists, transitioning from capability-centric to a unified data foundation focused on governance and AI readiness.

You will direct planning and implementation of systems to drive value, collaborating with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment and delivering enterprise data excellence at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 18 years of experience in technology and corporate engineering.
• 15 years of management experience in enterprise internal systems.
• Experience managing global cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
• International experience working and influencing across geographic and functional boundaries.
• Experience in a unified data management platform, master data management, data governance, and semantic data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Establish a unified enterprise data platform that serves as the single source of truth for various domains, ensuring data is connected, trusted, and discoverable.
• Drive enterprise data governance initiatives and adopt a data mesh approach to managing data at scale with self-service capabilities.
• Drive depth of platform maturity and rigorous enforcement of Corp Eng standards across multiple data domains.
• Build and maintain relationships with other senior executives to understand business needs and grow a high-performing global organization.
