Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Director of AI Program Management to lead governance, transformation, and AI portfolio execution at enterprise scale. You will set stage-gate criteria, drive value realization, and coordinate across Legal, HR, Finance, Product, Engineering, and GDIA to align decisions that span the organization.

You will own the operating rhythm for the AI portfolio, oversee executive filings, and drive recovery plans for at-risk bets, with a strong focus on delivering measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in program governance, PMO leadership, or portfolio execution at enterprise scale, including managing managers.
• Experience setting stage-gate criteria, delivery standards, or governance frameworks across multiple programs.
• Experience running cross-functional councils or steering committees with legal, HR, Finance, and technical stakeholders.
• Track record of building or running an operating cadence for a large, multi-workstream portfolio.
• Experience diagnosing at-risk programs and driving path-to-green recovery, including escalation when needed.
• Experience partnering with Finance on benefits realization or value validation.
• Strong executive presence and ability to hold sponsors and leadership accountable.

Responsibilities

• Own AI governance standards, stage-gate criteria, delivery expectations, and value realization requirements.
• Run cross-functional councils, aligning stakeholders across functions.
• Own operating rhythm for the AI portfolio: forums, owners, review calendar, and executive filings.
• Oversee execution of Enterprise and Functional AI Bets to achieve outcomes.
• Manage cross-bet dependencies and remove delivery blockers.
• Maintain recovery plans and ensure bets are on track or escalated when needed.
• Collaborate with Finance on benefits realization and value validation.
• Drive corrective action when value or delivery commitments aren’t met.
