Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Director of Clinical Development AI Partnerships to lead external collaboration efforts, evaluate opportunities, and drive pilots that accelerate clinical development using AI‑enabled capabilities. The role partners with Clinical Development, AI Strategy, BTS, and Legal to deliver structured, high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

10+ years in clinical development, clinical innovation, operations, data science, AI strategy, BD&A or related roles.
Strong understanding of clinical development workflows and AI-enabled life sciences.
Experience contributing to external opportunity assessments, diligence, pilots, collaborations, or licensing discussions.

Responsibilities

Lead or co-lead sourcing and evaluation of external AI partnerships for clinical development.
Design pilots, benchmarks, and evaluations of AI models for trial acceleration and data analytics.
Coordinate deal flow, governance, and stakeholder communications for senior leadership.
Develop external partnership structures and terms with cross-functional teams.
Build and maintain ecosystem relationships to source high-quality opportunities.
