Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a senior leader to spearhead the AI integration standards within Advisor Services. You will define governance for advisor-facing AI, ensuring fiduciary and regulatory alignment while collaborating across product, data, legal, risk, and technology teams.

You will translate enterprise risk into actionable advisor-specific standards, drive trust-centered governance, and shape decisions on build/buy/partner strategies for AI capabilities, enabling scalable

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of experience in product/portfolio governance and risk management in financial services
Experience defining governance for AI, model risk, and regulatory frameworks
Strong ability to translate risk, compliance, and fiduciary standards into advisor-facing guidance
Exceptional executive communication and collaboration across matrixed organizations
Experience working with product, technology, data, legal, and risk teams to drive alignment

Responsibilities

Define and lead AI integration strategy and governance for advisor-facing AI across Advisor Services
Establish trust-centered governance aligning AI capabilities with fiduciary requirements and regulatory standards
Own advisor-facing AI standards including risk, explainability, disclosure, and evaluation practices
Shape decision-making by outlining risk tradeoffs for leadership
Establish evaluation and monitoring practices with clear metrics and thresholds
Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Information Security functions across Schwab
Monitor regulatory expectations for AI in financial services and adapt governance accordingly
Support external positioning and thought leadership on AI for advisors
Enable scalable governance through clear standards and processes
Communicate governance approaches and strategic recommendations to executives
