Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Director of Data Foundations & Enablement to lead trusted, governed, and AI-ready data across SAM and SCFR. You will establish data ownership, governance councils, and semantic definitions to support analytics, Copilots, and agentic AI capabilities.

You will drive data contracts, metadata accessibility, and end-to-end lineage while mentoring the Data Management and Data Governance teams. A hands-on, strategic leader is required for this evolving data landscape.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data management, data governance, or data architecture within financial services.
• Experience leading data governance, data quality, metadata, and lineage programs.
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders and bridge technical and business perspectives.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and data platform concepts (medallion architecture).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Foundations & Enablement function across SAM to define governance, ownership, and data contracts.
• Drive AI-ready data foundations and semantic models for analytics and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with data, analytics, engineering, and business teams to enable trusted data for decision-making.
• Develop and mentor Data Management and Data Governance teams and establish operating rhythms.
