Job summary

BlackLine is building an AI-native platform for autonomous finance. As Director, Product Design, you will set and evangelize the design vision and strategy for the BlackLine platform, driving trust in AI for finance professionals.

You will lead a lean design team, own headcount and tooling strategy, and partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business goals into design outcomes that activate, retain, and expand usage of AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years of product design experience, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree required; AI-native finance or related SaaS experience preferred.
• Proven ability to set design vision and influence executives with business reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Set and evangelize the design vision for the BlackLine platform, aligning with company objectives and business metrics.
• Lead a lean design organization, coaching a senior team and owning headcount, budget, and tooling strategy.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, and GTM leaders to shape product strategy and investment decisions.
