Job summary

X&BM in Los Angeles is seeking a Director, Business Management to lead the firm’s business-management practice. This full-time, on-site role reports to the head of X&BM and sits on the leadership team alongside the Tax Director.

The Director will own the operating plan, define the service standard, lead client-service teams, drive growth, and ensure integration with other X&BM functions. CPA is required; MBA/JD are pluses.

Qualifications

• Twelve+ years in business management serving entertainment or high-net-worth clients.
• Experience leading a practice or department and managing revenue, margin, and client retention.
• Proven track record growing a book of business with a strong industry network.
• Deep command of business-management functions: accounting, cash management, tax, and insurance.
• CPA required; MBA or JD a plus.
• Experience implementing AI-native workflows within a professional-services firm.
• Strong leadership, judgment, and highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Run the practice and own the operating plan including staffing and pricing.
• Define the service standard and ensure compliance across engagements.
• Lead client-service teams and mentor Account Executives.
• Own client acquisition and growth strategies.
• Coordinate with Tax, insurance, and broader X&BM groups to align services.
• Set and execute the product roadmap for the AI-native platform.
• Establish internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
