Job summary

UFCU seeks a Director of AI & Analytics to lead and architect a portfolio of strategic AI solutions across the enterprise. This player-coach role balances business influence with deep technical execution to transform data usage and predictive analytics.

The position reports to the VP of Data & AI and manages the AI & Analytics team. It is based in Austin with a hybrid schedule requiring on-site presence several days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 10+ years in Data Science, AI & Analytics.
• 7+ years of management and supervisory leadership experience.
• Preference for Databricks and cloud-based AI/ML environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI use cases, from ideation to production.
• Define technical standards for AI delivery across teams and platforms.
• Mentor data science, ML engineering, and analytics teams to drive results.
• Partner with senior leadership to align AI roadmap with business value.
