Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) seeks an innovative and strategic Division Director to lead the Advanced Technology and Analysis Division within the Global Security Directorate. Located at the DOE Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, the role partners with the Associate Laboratory Director and leadership team to shape science programs, budgets, and mission delivery.

Qualifications

• B.S. in an engineering or physical science discipline; 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5 years in technical leadership roles with multidisciplinary teams.
• Technical expertise in at least one core domain (Cyber Assurance, Energy Resilience, RF Engineering, Technical Intelligence Analysis, or Atmospheric Technologies).
• Commitment to safety in medium to high-hazard environments.
• Experience in fiscal management and budgeting for scientific or engineering groups.
• Strong record of recruiting, developing, and retaining technical talent.
• Ability to work effectively in matrix environments and communicate with senior sponsors.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q and TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct line management responsibilities within the Global Security Directorate.
• Promote a culture of scientific excellence and safe operations in the division.
• Develop strategic workforce and succession plans aligned with the Lab Agenda and division goals.
• Oversee recruitment and retention of talent across the division.
• Lead strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advance SRNL's standing through publications, presentations, and leadership.
• Act as primary Division contact on lab-level committees and working groups.
• Integrate and implement commercialization activities within the Laboratory's plans.
• Lead community engagement with regional and national stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned by the Associate Laboratory Director.
