Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Must obtain New York State Medical License prior to start date.
• Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at University of Rochester Medical Center.
• Must meet all credentialing requirements.
• Eligible for Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiology.
• Post-offer drug screen and health assessment required.
• Compliance with University and New York State health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad academic AHFT care including inpatient and outpatient AHFT, heart transplantation, LVAD/MCS, and cardiogenic shock management.
• Participate in transplant and LVAD selection conferences, teaching of fellows, residents and medical students.
• Develop focused clinical or academic interests with protected academic time for teaching, research, and quality improvement.
