The Opportunity
See an experienced delivery leader to own the success of a large, global Adobe Experience Platform program for a strategic healthcare and life sciences client.
This is a multi-year, multi-team transformation where regulatory validation, in-country requirements and immovable delivery dates must be incorporated into the program from the beginning. The Director will own the client relationship, program delivery, financial performance, resourcing, quality, risk and overall program health.
This is a fully billable program leadership position. Individual discipline leads will own requirements, architecture, experience, content and data. You will be accountable for ensuring that these workstreams converge around one integrated plan and deliver against a single committed date.
The successful candidate will bring a consulting background, deep Adobe delivery experience and direct experience delivering Adobe Edge Delivery Services in a production environment. You must be technically credible enough to challenge architects and discipline leads, while also having the commercial judgment and executive presence to lead the client relationship.
What You Will Own
Global Program Delivery
- Lead the complete delivery lifecycle of a complex, global digital experience platform program, from mobilization and planning through build, release and ongoing support
- Build and maintain an integrated program plan across requirements, architecture, experience, content, data, validation and release
- Hold independent workstreams and discipline leads accountable to a single committed delivery date
- Re-sequence work and resources when dependencies change without losing control of the overall commitment
Program Health and Financial Performance
- Own program performance across scope, schedule, budget, margin, quality, risk and resource capacity
- Provide candid reporting and recommendations to client and internal leadership
- Build and maintain capacity plans spanning on-shore, near-shore and off-shore teams
- Adjust staffing and delivery models as program needs evolve
- Identify specification gaps, dependencies and timeline risks before they affect milestones
Client and Executive Leadership
- Serve as the senior delivery counterpart to client program leadership and executive stakeholders
- Build trusted relationships that surface problems early, improve decision-making and create opportunities for follow-on work
- Lead difficult conversations involving scope, delivery risk, financial performance, priorities and commitments
- Translate complex technical and delivery issues into clear executive recommendations
Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Establish the governance required to operate a program of this size, including intake, decision rights, sign-off, change control, escalation and reporting
- Manage risks and dependencies actively, including dependencies owned by client or third-party teams
- Plan regulatory validation, security reviews and audit traceability into the delivery schedule with defined owners, effort and durations
- Ensure global and in-country requirements, including mainland China requirements, are incorporated into the program from the first release
- Apply AI across delivery within the client’s compliance constraints and reflect the resulting capacity improvements in the program plan
- Lead a cross-functional delivery organization spanning multiple disciplines, locations and time zones
- Coach discipline leads and other delivery leaders on the account
- Develop team members who can independently lead programs of similar size and complexity
- Create a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration and proactive risk management
