The candidate should have extensive actuarial experience, actuarial designations, and strong supervisory and communication skills to drive staff productivity and policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with strong emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics.
• 8 years in an Actuarial role; 5 years in a management role leading teams or projects.
• ASA/ACAS designation with pursuing FSA/FCAS; MAAA membership.

Responsibilities

• Manage actuarial staff and oversee pricing and rate development activities.
• Oversee rate filings preparation for various group products.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales and Product Management to develop pricing strategies.
• Provide advanced support for the claim reserve process.
• Ensure new products are financially viable and pricing is competitive.
• Identify trends affecting pure premium and take pricing actions.
