Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics and Statistics.
• 8 years in an actuarial role; 5 years in a management role or leading teams/projects.
• ASA or ACAS designation and pursuing FSA or FCAS; MA of the SOA/CAS membership.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and manage department staff; plan and direct daily operations.
• Oversee rate filings for large and small groups and direct pay.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Sales, and Product Management to set pricing strategies.
• Support the claim reserve process and pricing of new products.
• Monitor premium trends and adjust pricing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
