Job summary

EVgo is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead its general ledger operations across multiple teams and shape close, policy, and process improvements. The role partners with the CAO to ensure rigor, accuracy, and disciplined financial controls for a growing public company.

You will drive technical accounting policy, steward SOX governance, and build organizational depth to support EVgo's public-company obligations, while delivering scalable solutions and automation.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead EVgo's general ledger accounting organization across multiple teams and managers.
• Develop a strong pipeline of accounting leadership talent; coach leaders on technical depth and strategic thinking.
• Define accounting operating standards and drive close, policy, and upgrade initiatives.
• Own the overall control environment for EVgo's general accounting operations and drive remediation of issues.
