Ladders is seeking a Director, Accounting for its remotely-based US team. The role leads core accounting operations across a multi-entity business, driving close, consolidation, audits, and strong controls with a hands-on leadership style.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strategic collaboration with Treasury, tax, and advisors, and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and scalable processes. Remote, US-based, with strong leadership expectations.

Formación

• Active CPA and bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial consolidation, and GAAP compliance in a multi-entity organization.
• Direct experience managing external financial statement audits end to end, including PBC management.
• Knowledge of the COSO framework and PCAOB standards related to internal controls, with experience designing and testing controls.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, plus advanced Excel skills.

• Oversee monthly consolidation across a multi-entity structure, ensuring intercompany eliminations and GAAP compliance.
• Direct the annual financial statement audit as the primary external liaison, managing the PBC list and schedule.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and Treasury on settlement accounting and reserve calculations.
• Integrate AI into journal entries, reconciliations, and variance reporting to improve efficiency.
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team, serving as a player-coach.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Accounting to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will lead core accounting operations for a multi‑entity business, with responsibility for close, consolidation, audit coordination, and strong financial controls. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, a hands‑on leadership style, and the ability to partner across Treasury, tax, and external advisors. This is a highly visible role that will help strengthen reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and team capability. The organization is looking for someone who can balance day‑to‑day execution with process improvement and scalable accounting leadership.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $158,000 – $213,000 annually
