Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks an experienced Operations Section Head to provide strategic and administrative leadership for the Operations Section within the Accelerator Division, ensuring safe, reliable operation of Brookhaven's accelerator complex and alignment with DOE requirements.

The role supervises MCR and engineering support, planning staffing and resources for maintenance, installation, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in accelerator operations or complex technical infrastructure.
• 6+ years of demonstrated leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and line management for the Operations Section.
• Coordinate maintenance, installation, and major upgrades across the accelerator complex.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and efficient operation of facilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, physics, and project teams to align priorities.
