Job summary

The University of Minnesota in Minneapolis–St. Paul area is seeking a Director to provide governance, organizational design, and leadership for CCAPS undergraduate and graduate academic operations and student services.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive efficiency through data analytics and AI-enabled tools, and balance program needs with fiscal sustainability. This 12-month, continuous position is hybrid with 2-3 in-office days weekly and attendance at events as required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated successful experience in higher education administration and direct employee supervision, including formal authority to hire, evaluate, assign work, and discipline staff.
• Demonstrated ability to engage diverse audiences and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
• Strong collaborative, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee undergraduate and graduate student services and lifecycle operations with enterprise technology integration.
• Lead graduate admissions lifecycle and annual academic progress reviews using data analytics.
• Direct 8-9 direct reports and build team capability in data literacy and AI-driven workflows.
• Design data-driven enrollment forecasting models and optimize resource allocation.
• Coordinate curriculum, course scheduling, and faculty workload with multiple enterprise systems.
• Serve as primary operational liaison between directors, faculty, and central university units.
