Job summary

Marianne Boesky Gallery seeks a full-time Director and artist liaison with a minimum of 6 years gallery experience, including a proven track record in sales and artist liaison work. Qualifications

  • Proactive, strategy-minded, organized and detail oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with others and independently when necessary.
  • Valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for five to eight artist studios and develop in-depth knowledge of their practices.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of artist liaison duties related to each artist’s schedule, exhibitions, museum exhibitions, art fairs, publications, events, calendars, consignments, appraisals, artist statements, production, and marketing materials.
  • Generate primary and secondary market sales for gallery and non-gallery artists, with a proven track record of primary market sales ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000.
  • Manage and develop relationships with both existing and new collectors, art advisers, museum curators and institutional leaders.
  • Attend gallery openings, art fairs, dinners, and other events as needed (international and domestic travel).

Boesky Gallery seeks full-time Director and artist liaison. Candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of gallery experience, including a proven track record in sales and artist liaison work. Candidate should possess a client list, and experience working on a team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • - Serve as primary contact for five to eight artist studios and develop in-depth knowledge of their practices.
  • - Oversee and manage all aspects of artist liaison duties related to each artists’ schedule, exhibitions, museum exhibitions, art fairs, publications, events, calendars, consignment agreements, appraisals, artist statements, production, and marketing materials.
  • - Generate primary and secondary market sales for gallery and non-gallery artists, with a proven track record of primary market sales ranging from $25,000 to $1,000,000.
  • - Manage and develop relationships with both existing and new collectors, art advisers, museum curators and institutional leaders.
  • - Attend gallery openings, art fairs, dinners, and other events as needed (international and domestic travel)

$110,000 to $130,000 base salary plus commission
