Job summary

Southeast Connections, LLC is seeking an experienced Directional Drill operator to support underground gas line installation and maintenance projects. You will operate HDD equipment, follow safety protocols, and work closely with foreman and crew to meet contract requirements.

This role requires 3–5 years of HDD operation experience in utility or pipeline construction and a high school diploma or equivalent, with certifications in HDD operation and safety preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3–5 years of HDD equipment operating experience in underground utility or pipeline construction.
• Previous natural gas industry experience preferred.
• Certifications in HDD operation, safety training, and utility locating desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) to drill and install underground gas lines.
• Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed.
• Participate in manual labor tasks on project.
• Secure work sites and ensure public safety and compliance with safety protocols.
• Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure installation standards are met and safety practices are followed.
• Promote safety of team members.
• Prepare sites for maximum optimization of construction procedures.
