Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Directional Drill Operator for field work in Owatonna, Blooming Prairie, and Rochester, MN. You will operate drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables, determine bore paths, and verify utilities.

We offer weekly pay, competitive wages ($24.00–$35.00 per hour), and benefits including insurance, 401(k) matching, and education reimbursement. Applicants must be 18+, have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it,

Qualifications

• 18+ years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator Blooming Prairie is$24.00 - $35.00.
