Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC in Blaine, MN is seeking a Directional Drill Operator to join our field crew. You will operate drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure, determine bore paths, verify utilities, and maintain bore schedules.

This hourly position offers weekly pay and benefits in a safety‑first environment. The role requires 18+ years old, US work authorization, a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a Class A CDL with tanker

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with legal work authorization in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
• Valid state driver's license with clean record
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Experience operating drilling equipment and understanding bore design

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you'll do

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
