Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to operate drill equipment and install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and maintain bore schedules while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

The role requires CDL Class A with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain, a valid U.S. work authorization, and experience with drilling equipment. Competitive benefits accompany a dedicated field team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record (not provisional).
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations, and drill setup/design processes.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize “Mud” mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities

What You’ll Need

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Directional Drill Operator Blooming Prairie is $24.00 - $35.00.
