Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to safely operate drilling equipment for underground telecommunications installations. You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, and maintain bore schedules while ensuring site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance are carried out.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid CDL-A with tanker endorsement (or willingness to obtain), and hands-on drilling equipment experience.

Qualifications

  • Be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience.
  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with drilling equipment and bore operations.

Responsibilities

  • Determine bore path and locate utilities.
  • Safely operate drill equipment to install underground cables.
  • Verify utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
  • Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

At Ansco & Associates, LLC, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

What you’ll do
  • Determine bore path and locate utilities
  • Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
  • Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
  • Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
  • Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes
Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
  • Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
