GridSource is seeking a Directional Drill / Bore Locator to join our team in the Georgetown, SC area. The job involves day-to-day drilling and pulling back conduits, reading prints, and maintaining safety standards on outdoor sites.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of drilling/locating experience, plus 2 years with Ditch Witch and Vermeer equipment (JT5 / D10x15). Local applicants preferred; pre-employment testing applies, and eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with drilling and/or locating equipment.
• 2 years of experience with Ditch Witch and Vermeer drilling equipment (JT5 / D10x15).
• Previous directional bore locating experience required.
• Local applicants preferred.
• Pre-employment testing includes MVR, drug screen, and background check.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities and monitor locating process during drilling.
• Read prints and demonstrate good judgment in the field.
• Work as a team in tandem with supervisor, manager, and other crew members.
• Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies.

We have a full-timeneed foraDirectional Drill / Bore Locatorinterested in building a long-term career in the underground telecommunications / Gas / cable industry interested in building a long-term career in the underground Utilities. The Job consists of day-to-day drilling and pullback of various sized conduits or pipe for outside plant. The work consists of new buildings, maintenance, and restoration in rural and metro areas.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The job involves occasional work near moving mechanical parts and requires outdoor work in all weather conditions year-round.

• May be exposed to electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
• May work more than 40 hours per week & outside normal business hours as needed.
