The role leads a team of analysts conducting modeling and simulation for laser, microwave, and optical systems, guiding design and performance optimization. Qualifikationen

• US Citizenship with active TS clearance at time of application.
• Experience with advance weapons and warfare systems focusing on kill chain decision‑making.
• Expert level modeling and simulation in wargaming.
• Directed Energy experience including high‑fidelity models of lasers, microwaves, and optical components.
• Ability to report to designated work location in Albuquerque, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Aufgaben

• Lead interdisciplinary research projects to explore and advance weapons systems with AI, automation, and complexity theory.
• Be the subject matter expert and participate in external directed energy events to aid training and act as expert.
• Develop and lead high‑fidelity models of lasers, microwaves, and optical components and systems, including propagation and nonlinear effects.
• Perform system‑level simulations to predict performance, sensitivity, and robustness under realistic conditions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to translate modeling results into actionable recommendations for customer solutions.
• Develop simulation workflows, tools, and automation to support rapid design trades and what‑if studies.
• Stay current on state‑of‑the‑art modeling techniques and relevant tools.
• Support DoD/IC business strategy with focus on the Directed Energy community and client engagement.
